Check it out, Timmy's on fire!! He ripped all weekend at Surf Expo and wound up just missing 3rd place in the Volcom reptillian ramp rumble. Still taking some cash with him for his 4th place finish now he is off to Tampa for his continued representing in the Tampa Am. You can also keep tabs on how he does on the live web cam. Timmy takes second at SPOT Spring Roll Contest

After rippin the course all day with what seemed to be a never ending bag of tricks, Timmy came away with 2nd place in the annual Skate Park of Tampa's Spring Roll contest held on April 22, 2007. With over 50 skaters in the sponsored division the contest highlighted some of the states best skaters in all of the completly full age groups. Once again the GSZ and CBS crews showed up if full effect with over 25 skaters registered in the contest. Everyone killed it all day with lots placing in the top percentage of their divisions. The weather was great and the skating even better. Congrats go out to Timmy and all the team riders who represented.

Timmy 1st at Initial Grind for Life 2007 Event

Timmy Knuth skated to first place, sponsored division in the first Grind for Life event of 2007 held at the Abacoa Skatepark in Jupiter, Fl. on February 17, 2007. The contest was Street/Park style. Other Graffiti sponsored riders included Joe Grant(9th), Austin Kormondy(11th), Dane Kovarik(12th), and Z Wills(16th) out of 27 entered.
Nichole Cabrera came in third place in the girls division.
Tyler Schoenfield took 4th, Kyle Chambers(5th), and Michael Wolfe(8th) in the 16 and up division.
In the 13 - 15 division Shylo Toliver got 8th place, Andrew Allaire(10th), and Matthew Alther(16th).
Jaime Ceruti came in 19th place for 10-12.

J.J. Mendez takes 2nd at Kona Halloween Am Jam

J.J. Mendez took home the 2nd place trophy out of 45 skaters in the 13 and up division at the Kona Skatepark Halloween Am Jam held on October 28th, 2006. Austin Kormondy came in 16th place and Tyler Schoenfeld came in 18th out of 26 in the sponsored division.

Timmy Knuth and Dane Kovarik Compete at Damn Am

Timmy Knuth and Dane Kovarik went to Costa Mesa California to represent Graffiti Skate Zone at the Damn Am contest October 26th through 29th. Timmy came in 22nd and Dane 49th out of the 80 skaters in the Street Qualifiers on Friday, the 27th.


Timmy 3rd at Stone Edge Crown Contest

Timmy Knut finished 3rd in the sponsored division at the Crown Skateboards contest held at Stone Edge Skatepark in Daytona Beach on October 7th.

Knuth 1st, Reilly 3rd in Burning Across America Sponsored Street

Timmy Knuth took first place and Clarke Reilly got 3rd in the Sponsored Street division of the Burning Across America Finals held September 30-October 1 at the 688 Skatepark in Clearwater, FL. Also making the sponsored Finals on Sunday was Z Wills, who finished 7th. Dane Kovarik finished in 12th place in the sponsored Qualifier.

JJ Mendez finished 2nd, Austin Kormondy 3rd, and Lorenzo Golston 9th in 16 and up street finals. Tyler Schoenfield came in 13th and Kyle chambers 16th in the Qualifier.

Nicole Cabrera finished in 8th place in the 13-15 street division and was the highest ranked girl skating in the contest. Matt Althar came in 13th and Michael Wolfe 19th in the Qualifiing round.

Jaime Ceruti came in 3rd place 12 and under.

Knuth and Kormondy skated to 1st and 6th place finishes in the advanced division mini-ramp contest held Sunday. Ceruti took 2nd in the intermediate mini-ramp.

Joe Grant Makes Semi-Finals at Volcom Conest

Joe Grant (15 and up) and Blake Kovarik (14 and under)earned their way into the sem-finals in the Volcom Stone wild in the parks contest held at Kona Skatepark on September 9, 2006. To get that far, they had to come in the top 10 out of the 75 entries in each group.

 

Results of Final Grind For Life Event for 2006

Timmy Knuth took 4th place, and Z Wills 9th, and Dane Kovarik 10th in the Sponsored division of the Bowl Contest held at Stone Edge Skatepark in Daytona Beach on September 2, 2006. This was the final of the 4 event Grind For Life Series.
Austin Kormondy came in 3rd, Kyle Chambers 9th, and Lorenzo Golstrom 10th in 16 and up.
Michael Wolfe came in 9th and JJ Mendez 11th in 13 - 15.
Nichole Cabrerra took 4th place girls.
Jaime Ceruti got 4th place 10-12.

Timmy Knuth takes 27th at Damn Am

Timmy Knuth, Joe Grant and Dane Kovarik were all entered in the Damn Am event held at the 3rd Lair Skatepark in Minniapolis, Minnesota on June 4th and 5th, 2006. Timmy made it to the semi-finals by placing 27th out of 114 skaters. He ended up placing 27th in the semis as well. Joe came in 69th. Dane suffered a severe injury to his foot during practice and was not able to compete.

Four GSZ skaters make Finals in the Mountain Dew Free Flow at Vans

Austin Kormondy, JJ Mendez, Clarke Reilly, and Matt Shupe all made it to the finals of the Free Flow Tour stop at Vans Skatepark in Orlando on Saturday, June 4th, 2006. They qualified for the finals by placing first or second in their jam-style heats.

 

Timmy Knuth First Place Sponsored at SPOT

Timmy Knuth took first place in the sponsored division at the School's Out Jam all ages contest held at the Skatepark of Tampa on May 27th, 2006. Also in the sponsored division were Z Wills (6th), Clarke Reilly (14th), Dane Kovarik (26th), and Joe Grant (33rd).
In the 16 and up division JJ Mendez and Koady Hawkins took 4th and 5th, and Tyler Shoenfeld came in 21st. Jaime Ceruti came in 4th place in 9-12 and Mathew Althar came in 18th in the 13-15 division.

 

Timmy Knuth Takes Second at Atlantic Beach Rotary Park

Timmy Knuth came in second place at the contest held at the Atlantic Beach concrete park on May 13th. Austin Kormondy also finished in the top ten.

 

Timmy Wins Back to Back May 6th and 7th

Timmy Knuth took the top position in the sponsored division at the Paradise Funplex in Merit Island on May 6th, 2006. He also took fifth in the Timeline vert contest held the same day at Paradise.
Then on Sunday, the 7th, Timmy got 1st place, sponsored division, at the Swendle Skateshop Contest held at the Satellite Beach Skatepark. Jaime Ceruti came in 4th place in the 16 and under division.

 

Team Supports 2nd Grind For Life Event

The graffiti teams were out in full support at the second Grind for Life event hosted by the Cocoa Beach Skatepark on April 2nd 2006. The team did fairly well even though they were slightly out of their element in this bowl/pool style transition course.

Our newest team member Koady Hawkins, took first place skating up in the 17 & up division at the contest at Mesh Skatepark in Longwood Florida on April 22nd. Other team members' finishing positions were:

Graffiti Team Skates at St. Pete Peirfest April 9th and 10th

The GSZ team compeated at the St Petersberg Peirfest at the Peir on April 9th and 10th, 2006. Peirfest included bmx and inline competitions as well as skateboarding. Eric Loomis finished fourth in the ASA qualifying advanced inline competition, earning himself a trip to Dallas, Texas for a national ASA competition.
Graffiti team members who made it to the 10 person finals after the Saturday qualifying and there final posions are:

The GSZ team compeated in two contests on April 1st, 2006. The sponsored team went to the April Foolishness Team Competition at Factory Skatepark near Atlanta.
